Morocco National Team Wins Twice CHAN Cup

After 2018 champion Morocco nation team have worn also the champion cup hosted in Cameroon by defeating Mali 2- 0 in the final game.

Apart from Mali being the champion they managed to dominate the potential post in the competition as best player, best score, best keeper, and the best player in the final game with Mali.

Soufine Rahim have been the icon in the competition being the top score of the competition and best player of the competition, being the best score he scores total of five goal out of 62 goals in all competition which is approximately to 1.94 goals per match.

The team begins the competition in group C alongside with Togo, Rwanda and Uganda. Morocco wins against Togo and draw versus Rwanda which was the only draw in their competition in group stage and ended the last game in group stage wining 5 – 1 against Uganda and become the top in the group.

The good performance in the group stage paves direct way toward quarterfinal where Morocco played with Cameroon and dominates the game by scoring 4 goals with was the message towards their opponents in final. Where they supposed to play with Mali after defeating their opponents,

Now Morocco is joining DR Congo by winning the cup twice where they won in 2018 tournament and also 2020 tournament, by doing so they have wrote the history in CHAN competition.

Every journey always have ups and downs, total of 16 nation team qualified to join the competition being in four groups where group A had nations like, (Mali, Cameroon, Burkina Faso and Zimbabwe), Group B included (DR Congo, Congo, Niger, and Libya) , Group C had Morocco, Rwanda, Togo, and Uganda and the last group D had nation like Guinea, Tanzania, Namibia and Zambia.

The performance only was the measure of the team to step forwards, all East African countries ended in group stage and quarter final and in the semifinal the unblocked stones Guinea, Cameroon, Mali and Morocco qualified.

 This competition was firs established in 2009 and hosted by Ivory Coast and the first nation to win this cup was DR Congo, the competition includes only players who plays the inter nation leagues and the players who plays in foreign countries are not involved.
